AFGHANS!

I love afghans like Smoky loves Temptations. That’s legit a lot. So what’s a person to do when they get bored?

I love this book

Obviously the only right answer is to pull out a book specifically on afghans and make one.

Do you have a favorite type? I always say I like those super modern, fancy afghans or the antique bedspreads from crochet cotton.

But what I really love is acrylic, classic granny square afghans in that awful 70’s green and orange. You know you love them too. They smell like grandma’s house and chihuahuas.

FUN FACT: I have an old skein of this color. Unfortunately only one. And yes, it smells like chihuahuas.

I also prefer knitting over crochet. Now, that’s not anything I can help, and I also can’t help that knitting is actually painful. So I’m glad this book is crochet. I know I’m working on The Beekeeper’s Quilt, but it’s knitting and my shoulder was yelling at me after one. And I haven’t even finished swatching sizes and colors!

I don’t care. I love Red Heart.

So I’m going to work on three things. Actually making The Asari Beanie, actually working on The Exploded Pineapple Afghan, making the Crochet Hook Case, and designing my super secret hat/scarf combo.

Shhh. Super secret.

WHAT IS THIS LIFE!?

Sometimes I get overwhelmed. Even by the things I love the most. It’s a damn shame too.
